Turning Nap Time Into Extra Income Time

Welcoming a new child into the family is a joyful — and turbulent time for most parents. Over the past twenty years, great strides have been made toward increasing maternity leave and allowing paternity leave, and The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) actually allows new parents to take up to twelve weeks off to facilitate this essential time of transition. However, those twelve weeks can be quickly exhausted in the case of a difficult pregnancy and/or birth. And they are unpaid, so in addition to enjoying their new addition, many parents are faced with the an additional financial burden as they watch unpaid hospital bills and living expenses start piling up.
